Stella Middle CHarter School Design-build Project

With given relatively small school site, our major intend of site planning was to create as large open space as possible to provide viable school activities.  The majority of the classrooms are placed on the eastern part of the site with minimum side yard to maximize open view to adjacent park. Exterior open arcade between classroom buildings can accommodate both activity outdoor space and entries to classrooms.  By placing gymnasium building at the northwest corner of the site, large open space is created and connected to adjacent park.   To meet low construction budget, pre-fabricated DSA preapproved 2-story modular units are used for classroom buildings with carefully articulated 4 colors of painted stucco finish.
